Awaken Explorers respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information you share while using AE Tasks.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you use AE Tasks, we may collect information necessary to provide and operate the service, including:

• Your name and email address
• Account and authentication information
• Tasks, projects, comments, notes, links, and other information you choose to enter
• Files you choose to upload
• Notification and device information necessary to provide push notifications
• Google account information and Google Drive file information when you choose to connect or use Google Drive features

GOOGLE SIGN-IN AND GOOGLE DRIVE

AE Tasks may use Google Sign-In and Google Drive integrations.

When you choose to use Google Drive with AE Tasks:

• AE Tasks only accesses Google Drive information necessary to provide the feature you requested.
• Files are accessed when you choose or select them for use within AE Tasks.
• Google Drive files may be referenced through their file ID, name, file type, or Drive link so team members with appropriate Google Drive permissions can access them.
• AE Tasks does not use Google Drive information for advertising or marketing purposes.
• Access to Google user data is limited to providing and improving the functionality you requested.

Our use of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We may use your information to:

• Provide and operate AE Tasks
• Authenticate users and maintain accounts
• Store and synchronize tasks, projects, files, and related information
• Provide collaboration features between authorized team members
• Send requested push notifications
• Provide Google Drive file-selection and attachment features
• Maintain security, troubleshoot problems, and improve the service

DATA STORAGE AND SERVICE PROVIDERS

AE Tasks may use trusted third-party service providers, including Supabase, for database, authentication, and file-storage services.

Files uploaded directly through AE Tasks may be stored using Supabase Storage.

Files selected from Google Drive may remain stored in Google Drive while AE Tasks stores a reference to the selected file rather than creating another copy.

DATA SHARING

We do not sell personal information.

Information may be shared only as necessary to operate the service, with authorized members of your AE Tasks workspace, with service providers that support the operation of the service, or when required by law.

GOOGLE DRIVE PERMISSIONS

Access to a Google Drive file does not override Google's own sharing permissions. A person must still have appropriate permission from Google Drive to access a referenced file.

YOUR CHOICES

You may:

• Choose whether to connect Google services
• Remove files or links you have added where permitted
• Disable push notifications on your devices
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account

DATA SECURITY

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards intended to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. However, no online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

DATA RETENTION

Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain legitimate business records, comply with legal obligations, or until it is deleted through available account or administrative controls.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

AE Tasks is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our services or technology change. Updates will be posted on this page.
